Workspace Inspiration

21 September 2014

With only less than a week to go till university starts back up again, I thought I would try to come up with a few ideas for creating a practical workspace. I've never actually had a 'workspace'. Usually I would end up working on my bed, dinning table or the floor. As my course is getting even more intense these up coming years, I need a space where I am able to get my head down without breaking my back.

Pinterest has been my main source of inspiration, looking through various boards and pins, and so I thought I would share with you what I am trying achieve over the next few months. I'm the type of person that gets easily distracted by her surroundings and it has an impact on my productivity. Having things around me that can give me inspiration and motivation really helps with my creativity and so I quite like the idea of having inspiration boards, prints and typos on the wall. After all us students spend most of our time sitting at a desk, I think its worth the time and effort to create a working environment that best suits you and not to forget a working area that you love.

I know I will be opting for a longer desk and working on my storage to help keep my area organised. Not too sure about the colour palette just as yet, although I do like the minimal decor. I think I will be sticking to black, some whites and silver for my accessories and furniture to work with my wall colour - still thinking about it.

Overall I'm enjoying my planning stages and honestly I can't wait to have a desk and better storage. An updated workspace area shall be on the blog soon.

What do you think? What would your workspace look like?
